Interim Process Technologist

£400 per day Outside IR35 plus Expenses

We are seeking an experienced Interim Process Technologist to join a fast-paced food manufacturing business to assist with an uplift in demand and busy launch schedule.  You will support a pipeline of product launches, factory trials, and process improvements within a deadline driven, customer-focused food manufacturing environment.

Working closely with Technical, NPD, Operations and Commercial teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products are successfully transferred from concept through to factory-scale manufacture, delivering on time and to specification.

The Role

As Interim Process Technologist, you will take ownership of the critical path for multiple projects, ensuring all factory trials, production reviews and launches are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the process development of products from kitchen approval through to successful factory launch.
• Planning, coordinating and leading factory trials.
• Troubleshooting process and manufacturing challenges to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Working closely with site teams to optimise processes and improve efficiencies.
• Managing project timelines and ensuring key KPI’s are achieved.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and retail customers where required.
• Ensuring all process documentation is completed accurately and on time.

• Strong process development experience in the food industry.
• Extensive experience leading and coordinating factory trials.
• A detailed understanding of critical path management.
• Excellent knowledge of factory processes, ingredients and large-scale manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• The confidence to engage with stakeholders across Technical, Operations and NPD functions.
• The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
