You will be joining an established organisation with opportunities for career progression through structured training and succession planning.  Strong branded and own label product range with multiple long-standing customers.

The role involves:

• Keeping lines running smoothly and as always, looking for opportunities to reduce downtime.
• Ensuring structured maintenance plans are in place.
• Using root cause analysis to dig into breakdowns and downtime, uncovering trends and driving real improvements.
• Taking a detailed, data-driven approach to tracking and improving equipment reliability.
• Making sure the CMMS is up to date and used effectively.
• Leading and developing a direct report.
• Ensuring all engineering work meets high standards for food safety, health & safety, and compliance.
• Staying ahead of spare parts and inventory needs.
• Working closely with production always ensuring open lines of communication.

What will you have covered in your background for this role?

• Engineering experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similarly fast-moving environment.
• Some hands-on management or supervisory experience, or are you ready to take that next step?
• Knowledge of the maintenance routines required in manufacturing.
• A down to earth and practical approach.
• A great team player who leads by example and works well across departments.
• Ideally electrically biased but not essential. If you have a mechanical background training can be provided.
• Confident using CMMS systems and comfortable with a reliability-led approach.
• A full UK driving licence.
