What does the day to day look like in this Engineering role?

  • Working closely with production and planning with the overall purpose of minimising downtime to ensure the machinery output is maximised.
  • Reprioritising and reacting at speed to diagnose and solve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Be proactive in approach and over time, develop a more planned strategy for engineering.
  • Being attentive to the all-important detail ensuring system and engineering data is updated.
  • Having an eye for improvements on kit or processes and understanding the positive impact for the overall site.
  • Ensuring an organised and structured approach around service levels with effective management of spares stock levels and availability.
  • Adhering to health and safety at all times in the factory to ensure a safe working environment.

 

What background do you need for this Maintenance Engineer role?

  • An all-round multi-skilled engineering background.
  • Someone who thrives on a varied and busy environment.
  • Previous experience in food or FMCG manufacturing as a maintenance engineer.
  • Relevant engineering apprenticeship experience.
  • Inquisitive in nature, able to troubleshoot drawing on our mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
  • A proactive and positive mindset to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills.
