The Environmental Advisor will involve supporting the SHE manager in the defining of the environmental strategy, in line with the CSR agenda.  Driving this across all the other functions is a key element of the role requiring confidence, strong communication skills and the ability to capture real engagement in environmental issues.  business and supply chain activities as well as labour and human rights standards compliance.  Effectively communicating with all departments, driving awareness and understanding in this key business to ensure risk management and continuously strive to meet the targets around the environmental agenda.

Work closely with the SHE Manager to embed the Environmental Strategy

Highlight the key areas for initial focus and drive the main outputs from the EMS to underpin ISO 14001.

Relay key insight data back to the SHE Manager and senior team.

Understand the strategic targets and consistently drive engagement and change across all functions.

Co-ordinate and support relevant stake holders ensuring a consistent approach removing major non-conformances.

Alongside the SHE Manager, deliver a positive culture towards the environmental agenda in meetings, day to day, presentations – every opportunity.

A key player as a change agent on the site through coaching and training – the ‘go to’ subject matter expert.

 

What background is required for this role …

Experience in an Environmental role ideally in manufacturing environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to draw effective evidence from data analysis to provide insight for the site.
