• Using your creative expertise to create prototypes and mock-ups for consumer testing and customer presentations.

• Effective management and people development for two direct reports.

 

You will need the following in your background for this opportunity:

• An in-depth knowledge of the packaging industry with particular emphasis on the food industry.
• A real ambition and interest/passion for innovation and sustainability in the industry.
• A confident communicator, able to operate at all levels of the business building relationships and networking effectively.
• A collaborative approach, able to work in a team as well as leading the two direct reports.
• Flexible and adaptable. The food industry suits individuals who can flex and move around demanding environments with ever changing priorities.
• A drive to set high personal standards and be accountable for delivering to the demands of the role.

Come and join a HR team that are proactively developing their employee polices and their engagement plans to ensure that the site has all the foundations to be a best-in-class site. As with all food manufacturing sites this is a busy place.  It has been noted by the teams to be a happy and positive place to work, and this can make all the difference, especially when you are working in HR and engagement and staff retention are your main KPIs.

 

Sounding good?

 

You would champion the people agenda alongside the HR advisor.  Within this role you would work with all functions and you would also get involved in customer audits with the foodservice and retail customers.

Other elements of the HR Manager role:

• Key role for the site ensuring that HR best practice is shared across the management teams in all functions.
• Generalist activity with responsibility for recruitment, engagement, learning and development, grievances and disciplinaries.
• Developing operational, practical and strategic HR policies.
• Key player in driving the engagement strategy for the business working closely with and influencing key stakeholders.
• Attending all Management Team Meetings with a key position on that team.

 

What do you need in your background?

• HR generalist experience in manufacturing (FMCG or food), or Logistics.
• Proven successes in developing HR policy and implementing this within a wider team.
• Team focussed and involved style.
• Good at the detail, understanding the HR KPIs and how these affect the business strategy.
• Experience of working with cross functional teams and supporting a continuous improvement culture.
