Interim Engineering Manager

Interim Engineering Manager – Food Industry

£450-500 per day plus expenses

 

Are you looking for your next assignment?  You need food industry experience for this contract – they work at pace and it’s a complex environment.  There’s a great team of engineers and an experienced operations manager to work alongside – the ideal duo taking the site forward.

It’s a smallish site but as mentioned above, it is complex with short lead times.  Supplying multiple customers in the retail and foodservice sector, you need to be structured and have proven skills in pulling teams together, giving them an organised and planned approach.  That ever important start-up time – the ‘golden hour’ – is just as critical.  Is the PPM schedule as good as it should be? Is everyone sticking to it?  How do engineering and ops work together to be as efficient as possible?  What barriers are in the way and how can we remove them to give the site a first-class engineering team?

Processes are in place of course but there is a need to drive improvements across the function and revisiting the KPIs to drive efficiencies.  Being that senior engineering presence on the site, supporting, guiding, and motivating the engineering team will make all the difference.  There’s a lot to do, as there always is in every interim assignment, but the team all have the right attitude and skills, it just needs someone to bring in more structure and organisation.
