Keen to talk to Warehouse Managers who have in-house experience within fast moving sectors.  This Warehouse Manager role is in the food manufacturing sector and has pace and complexity supplying retail customers on a daily basis. You will enjoy working in a short lead times environment and building teams.  This role needs someone who can bring structure and organised processes and procedures to enable the customer service level requirements to be constantly met. The focus of the role is to enable a more efficient warehouse with a team that drive improvements.  This role would therefore suit a  manager with the ability to drive teams forward maintaining motivation through ownership and responsibility.

 

 

The Warehouse Manager responsibilities:

 

• Full adherence to all HSE standards in line with the site and group policies, embedding the importance of Health and Safety at all times.
• Leadership of the warehouse teams – not just meeting the agreed KPI’s, ensuring their future development needs are managed and as mentioned above, motivation and moral is achieved through positive encouragement and ownership of the function.
• Working closely with the planning team – that relationship is critical to the success of the site and the long-term strategy of the logistics function.
• Ensuring KPI’s are measured and delivered across inventory management, waste, quality, service levels and to budget ensuring the team and department operate to the highest standards.
• Consistently focus on the CI agenda in line with the Group objectives.
• Deliver the strategy for the logistics function in line with the other functions on site to meet the overall goals at both a site and group level.
• Management of the department budget working in close conjunction with other members of the Senior Management Team.
• Be commercially aware at all times implementing cost saving initiatives at all times.
• Continually strive for the best practice in warehousing ensuring the appropriate legislation is fully embedded in the business.

 

In terms of background the ideal candidate will have:

 

• Warehousing experience in an inhouse environment – FMCG or food industry experience essential for the pace of this business.
• Previous examples of inclusive team management driving a well-structured and positive environment.
• Solid working knowledge of Warehouse Management systems.
• Leadership examples around identifying keys skills, upskilling talent internally and providing stability and guidance.
• Outstanding Health and Safety record in career to date.
• Proven successes working to and improving on KPI measures across logistics teams.
• Strong communication skills – confident and professional setting the right standards in the Warehouse operation.
• Work cross functionally able to build and develop key working relationships with other members of the SMT and teams across the business.
