You need a strong background in technical management in high care/high risk product categories and the credibility to make key decisions and work with the Group Technical Controller on wider, strategic projects.

 

This opportunity will suit an experienced TM who is looking for a sideways move, a new category and to join a business who can offer further succession planning in the Group – you can tick all those with this role.

 

The site has seen an impressive turnaround in the last 12 months, the structure and success is established and the growth and profit figures are set to grow with the input of an outstanding Senior Team. The Technical Manager is key to complete the SMT on the site.

 

The criteria you will need to progress with this process is as follows:

 

• Significant chilled food manufacturing experience as a Site Technical Manager.
• Able to demonstrate an ability to drive the technical agenda in a time driven food manufacturing environments.
• A confidence in your technical expertise able to influence at all levels – known as the go to on site.
• Networked with retail customers, able to build and develop those critical customer relationships.
• Commercially and financially astute.
• Decisive, understanding all the issues involved to overcome issues in complex deadline driven food manufacturing.
• Demonstrable motivational management skills
• Evidence of leadership and solid team ethics.

This Head of Procurement needs a specialist who can deliver that competitive edge heading up the ingredients team.

 

As the procurement lead you will:

• Optimise expenditure in ingredients for the business.
• Develop a fully integrated, proactive procurement team.
• Introduce clearly communicated category strategies.
• Manage the entire ingredients budget.
• Implement an effective risk management strategy.
• Build and manage a strong supplier network with effective performance measures.
• Ensure best practice is adopted at all times.
• Business partner with commercial for all costing models.
• Fully integrate across the business with the relevant stakeholders for full awareness of product launches, customer demand and market changes.
• Build robust relationships across the business particularly at site lead level.
